In recent months, Black Diamond has made several enhancements to their security settings including several updates to their available multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods. In keeping with our cybersecurity policies, we will be enforcing the use of MFA within the Black Diamond system beginning on Friday, May 15 for all users, including clients. This additional layer of security plays a crucial role in helping ensure your clients’ data stays secured. To assist you in notifying your clients about the upcoming security change for Black Diamond, we have created a sample message for you to leverage.
While you may have implemented MFA for Black Diamond on your own, in keeping with Vicus’ cybersecurity policies, many of your clients may not have established it for their accounts and may be unfamiliar with the process.
One of the recent enhancements involves the ability to use an authenticator app, such as Duo, to generate a MFA code. We strongly recommend the use of an authenticator app as they tend to provide more security than a code sent via SMS or email.
